Cave

Cave, paper and fluted glass, 30 × 40 cm. Curved concentric stripes forming a loop, black and white above, blue and white below, under fluted glass, white frame. The fluted glass cuts the stripes of the paper into narrow bands. The work belongs to the series of eight papers under fluted glass in the exhibition. The work is sold framed.

Rivage explores the perceptual structures of the coastline between Biarritz and San Sebastián, such as horizons, cliffs, waves, mineral strata and shifting light. Alex Bloc translates these elements into vibrating lines, grids and reliefs. The work is on view in Rivage, Alex Bloc’s first solo exhibition at Sakana Gallery, Donostia-San Sebastián, from 2 October to 28 December 2026.
