French-Portuguese contemporary photographer with a poetic gaze
Gabrielle Duplantier is a contemporary photographer born in 1978, of French-Portuguese and American origin. She lives and works in the south of Landes, France. Her work is deeply linked to the intimate and to the territory, exploring nearby landscapes, from the Basque Country to Portugal, as well as portraiture, with a sensitive and poetic approach.
His analog photography, mainly in black and white, is situated between oneirism, emotional density and documentary. His photographic style is recognized by its melancholic atmosphere and careful composition. She explores themes such as femininity, wild nature, rituals and memory.
