Juan Aizpitarte

Juan Aizpitarte is a contemporary Basque artist whose artistic practices span a variety of media, including photography, video, performance, installation and sculpture. His work often explores social, political and cultural issues through a critical and multidimensional approach. Combining narrative and abstraction, he questions human relationships, power structures and urban dynamics. Juan is distinguished by his engagement with the public, integrating participatory elements to transform the artistic experience into a collective dialogue.

Juan is currently preparing a promising exhibition entitled "Lux", to be held soon at Sakana Gallery. This exhibition will highlight - in both the literal and figurative sense - his exploration of the theme of light, through a captivating combination of photographs, sculptures and videos.

The show promises to offer an immersive and introspective experience, where light acts as a link between sensory perception and philosophical questioning. Thus, "Lux" emerges as an artistic meditation on how light influences our relationship with the world, transforms spaces and guides our interpretations.
