Nisa Goiburu is the reflection of a generation prior to ours where women have not been given their due attention. We owe a debt to these great artists and owe them historical and cultural recognition for all their work and the development of female art. Artists like Elena Asíns, Inés Medina, Mari Paz Jiménez, Marta Cárdenas, and Nisa Goiburu deserve recognition and a prominent place in our Basque cultural history of the late 20th century.
