Strates, acrylic on cotton canvas, 114 × 150 cm. A black ground covered in fine white and pale blue stripes, arranged in offset blocks like strata. It is one of the four canvases in the exhibition, the largest formats of the group.

The works in Rivage do not depict the landscape. They convey its rhythms, tensions and movements through vibrating lines, grids and reliefs. The work is on view in Rivage, Alex Bloc’s first solo exhibition at Sakana Gallery, Donostia-San Sebastián, from 2 October to 28 December 2026.
