Tight vertical lines in black, white and midnight blue, in concentric arcs rising from the lower left. It is one of the four canvases in the exhibition, the largest formats of the group.

Born in Strasbourg, Alex Bloc (Alex Bloch) has spent over twenty years exploring geometry as a language of perception. Heir to optical and constructivist art, he creates poetic architectures where line, light, and matter interact.

The works in Rivage do not depict the landscape. They convey its rhythms, tensions and movements through vibrating lines, grids and reliefs. The work is on view in Rivage, Alex Bloc’s first solo exhibition at Sakana Gallery, Donostia-San Sebastián, from 2 October to 28 December 2026.
